The following six stories are all authentic and found in different reports from Non-Governmental Organisations in Denmark, UK and Italy.

Maja has been abused throughout her entire life

Almost all her life Maja has been abused. First she was abused of one of her neighbours of her family; secondly some classmates abused her too.

“Finally” she has been abused by traffickers in Denmark.

Maja and her sisters were abandoned by their mother when she was six years. She was left with an alcoholic father. She was raped by the family's neighbour. She was pregnant and gave birth to her baby. Soon the authorities removed it from her.

Maja was then sent to a boarding school, where she was exploited by other students, who sold her to other men. Maja never saw any money. In July 2004, she was sold to traffickers, who ensured that she was installed and locked up in a Danish brothel. For Maja the Danish daily life in the brothels was pure hell. Threats towards her life with a gun, daily abuse and regular rape were a normal part of life.

Suddenly, Maja was freed from the brothel, as two girls, who themselves had been slaves in the brothels, escaped and took contact to the police. Maja decided that she was going home to his village. Shortly after Maja arrived at the airport in Lithuania, she was pulled aside by a trafficker, who was waiting for her.

For four weeks Maja was held captive in Lithuania until the man, who captured her had found a new buyer. Maja was then sent to a German brothel, where it all began again. Here she was exposed to so much violence, that the police finally were called, and she was freed again. Today Maja is constantly moving around from one location to another, while she witnesses in cases against traffickers.

Until then, she can not get on with his life or re-establish contact with her son. Maja was a sex slave in European cities and is still on the run trying to escape her traffickers.

Diana: drugged, kidnapped and raped

20-year-old Diana was drugged, kidnapped and raped before she ended up on the streets of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Diana is a 20-year-old woman from the Czech Republic. She has no education. She is unmarried and has no children. She lives at home with his mother. During the day she worked as a skilled seamstress in a factory.

One day on her way home from work, she met a sweet guy, who invited her to a drink at her favourite bar.

Without Diana sees it, the guy put a drug into Dianas drink. She will soon feel bad. The man offered to drive her home.

But instead of driving her home, he drove her to an entirely different city, where he delivered her to a Czech couple.

From there the couple takes the girl to another town and they tell her, that now they own her. Diana will be locked up and only let out to do prostitution. The couple is threatening her that they will have her family killed, if she is trying to get free. One day she got arrested by the police, but because of her fear of the threats against her family, she did not dare to reveal anything. Instead, she was soon released, and quickly picked up by the couple again.

They then transported Diana to Norway, where she again was locked up and forced into prostitution on the streets. Here she is often raped by customers. As always s are supervised by the couple. She are taken away all her soon after she has finished the sexual job with a customer. She is denied the opportunity to get in touch with others. She is actually a slave until her sponsors believe she has served enough.

After some time the couple and the slave Diana travelled to Denmark. and here the history repeats itself. Finally, Diana managed to escape from her capturers in Denmark. She contacted the police, who help her to a safe place for trafficked women, called the Nest. Diana was a slave in Denmark, alone and abused every day.

She was a slave in a main city in Europe.

An 18-year-old woman was kept in captivity in an apartment, where she was beaten by traffickers, raped and threatend with weapons.

She is an 18-year-old woman from a poor village in Slovakia. Born and raised among the Roma family.

She has never gone to school. She is illiterate and has never had the opportunity to get a job.

In December 2007, she was kidnapped on the streets by a Czech couple.

The couple seemed polite and would drive the girl home to her village after they had made a long walk and talk in the city.

Instead, they tied her up, and drove her to Denmark. Here they installed her in their apartment, where she lived behind bars. In the beginning of the kidnap, she would not prostitute, as her 'owners' otherwise required her to do. She was beaten, raped and threatened with a gun. Finally, she had no option but to do what was said. She then started to prostitute herself.

She never received any money from the prostitution. When she had satisfied a customer, she had to return all money to the Czech pair. She was forced to do as many customers as possible, and to do all what they wanted her to do. They raped her, beat her and had unsecure sex with her without a condom. Today she is pregnant with an unknown client's child.

She was rescued by chance. One day when she was a passenger in a car driven by one of her traffickers, the car was involved in a road accident. The police got involved due to the car accident, and by coincidence, they found out her situation. The woman has helped the police to testify against the Czech pair. She was sent to a safe place for trafficked women, which collaborate with a Slovak aid organization. Together the organisations have helped the girl to return to her family.

It was her wish to return to her family. She keeps her child, because her culture and upbringing says, that it is the right thing to do. She once was sex slave in Denmark for four months.

Kidnapped in Nigeria.

For three months, Nancy is kept in captivity by her kidnapper. Originally one of his friends sold her to traffickers in Europe. She now works as a street prostitute in Copenhagen.

Nancy becomes an orphan already at the age of 10 years. She is "taken care of" by uncles and aunts, as they keep her as a house slave.

At the same time she is also sexually abused by a friend of the house. He tells her, he will kill her if she tells about it to others.

As a 16-year-old girl she got a job at a small cafe. Here she met a man, which she visited at his home.

He raped her several times, and furthermore, he kept her in the house as a slave for three months. One of his friends tells Nancy, that He can help her to get free and move with him to Europe.

Nancy is not aware, that the friends actually work together. Therefore, she thought that the finally came to her.

It is easy to find work in Europe, says the new friend, who soon sends her to Oslo in Norway. As she arrives in Oslo, she is told, she has a debt of 25,000 Euros. The debt must be paid straight away, and the only way to make that kind of money is by having sex with foreign men every night. So she becomes forced into prostitution.

Nancy, who today is 22 years, escaped her traffickers in Oslo and finally, she ended up in Copenhagen. But she has no money. On the streets of the centre of Copenhagen, she is quickly spotted by the Nigerian "Madame". This new "boss" requires 50 percent of all of her income because she works in their area. Nancy is still working on the streets of Copenhagen.

Nina was sold by his brother

It was her own brother, who originally sold her back home in the Ukrainian village. Today Nina lives underground in Denmark.

It was 3 years ago that Nina starts prostituting herself in the streets Copenhagen. She was approx. 15 to 16-year-old.

According to her false papers, she is now 19 years, but her body has just developed into an adult woman.

The fake papers have been made by the traffickers.

They not want to send children away because minors have better opportunities to get protection - and their ability to tell authorities about traffickers - are far better than for adults.

In the village in Ukraine the brother of Nina was contacted by traffickers. They told him, that Nina is the prettiest girl in town, so even though she cannot read or write, they will find her a good job in Europe. He sells his sister, who then is trafficked to Italy, and later on to Denmark.

In Copenhagen, Nina is forced to walk the streets as a prostitute night after night. She has a debt to her sponsors to be paid. One night and by a coincidence The Danish police arrest her, and she is instantly to sent into prison, where she sits behind bars for two weeks.

The other female prisoners describe her as very angry and hard to get in touch with. But in reality she was subjected to violence in Ukraine, and it makes her afraid of everything around her. Today, she is still afraid to walk the streets of Copenhagen because she is afraid of being violated by other Ukrainian traffickers.

Nina seeks asylum in Denmark, but before this decision, she lives underground. She knows that she is denied to stay permanently in Denmark. She also knows that if she does not go to surface before the hammer falls, she will be escorted home to Ukraine by the Danish authorities. This is the last thing, she intend to do. It will be dangerous for her. That is why she lives in hiding in Denmark. It is a desperate situation.

Mary was sold as 8-year-old girl.

First, she was a house slave in Nigeria. Then she ended up as a sex slave in Denmark. Every night she worked on the streets of Birmingham.

First, East African Mary was an 8-year-old girl, when she was sold to become a house slave. Then she was bought by some traffickers and then he sent her to Italy.

Although she has not gone to school, she is intelligent, bright and dreams of getting an education and a good job.

But she is vulnerable, because ever since her childhood, she has been abused. No warning lights flashes when she is told, she can come to Europe to get an education.

In early 2007 Mary was flown to Paris, and from there she takes the train under the English channel to London. She is followed by a trafficker. Here she meets a man, who then takes her to Birmingham, where she is put down at a brothel. Mary is told she owes 30.000 Euros to her traffickers, and the money is to be paid immediately. She quickly give up the right to resist, because she realizes that she must have sex with Danish men, and if she do not do so, she is beaten and raped..

During her time in Birmingham, she meets a man from London, who she, whenever possible, keeps in touch with. By her own initiative and finally, she flees after half a year working in different brothels to London capital, where she searches for his male friend. He lets her stay in his apartment until he gets tired of her and finally throw her out.

Today, Mary lives with three other women. They share an apartment in London and all of them works as prostitutes to survive.
